Martin vs Granbury
Game Summary
The Martin Warrior’s JV team welcomed Granbury to our defense in this
low scoring game. Another excellent pitching performance produced a total of 8
strike outs out of a total of 25 batters. Seven of those strike outs were
looking, showing a lot of control by the Warriors. There were 3 hits allowed
over the 6 innings, and no earned runs. Only two Granbury batters were allowed
on base with a walk. Neither scored.
On the flip side, the offense produced 5 hits, with a total of 5 bases. Six more
Warriors reached base on walks. Once on base, the Warriors again showed some
team speed and aggressiveness with a total of 6 stolen bases. Eric Jeske and
Ryan Walker had 2 stolen bases each, followed by Dillon Dawson and Trevor Slocum
with 1 stolen base each. The 3 RBI’s came from Eric Jeske, Trevor Slocum and
Tony Rizzotti.
This was a solid win, with both offense and defense contributing to the effort.
