Martin vs Arlington

Game Summary
The cross town rival Arlington Colts came to the Warrior home field to see if their luck would be any better than the last time these teams matched up. They quickly found that the Warriors were too much for them to handle.

Chris Micheal got the ball for the Warriors and pitched a complete 5 inning game. He faced 19 batters, gave up two hits and one run. Micheal struck out 5 and walked 2. Micheal was throwing to Trey Kensing behind the plate. Kensing was able to gun down one of the few Colts to reach base when he tried to steal second in the top of the third inning.

The offense did its part as well with a total of 13 hits.

In the first Eric Jeske doubled and then scored when Ryan Walker followed with a double. Trey Thompson sent Walker to home with a single. DH, Kyle Chatham drew a walk along with Dylan Rucker. Kensing racked up the final score of the inning with a single to make it 4 – 0 after 1 inning. Jeske also started the second inning and once again got on, this time with a single. Thompson drew a walk and Tyler Wilhelm hit a single to load up the bases. Trevor Slocum hit a triple over the center fielder’s head which scored 3 and Slocum was able to score as well when the throw to the plate went wide. Thompson hit a single in the third and scored on Wilhelm’s second single of the night to make it 8 – 0 at the end of the third. Chatham started the Warrior half of the fourth with a double followed by singles from Rucker and Jordan Hasler. Jeske got his third hit and second double of the game and before the inning was over the Warriors added 3 more runs. The Colts had one extra chance and were able to score one run for a run rule final score of 12 -1 Warriors.
