Game Summary
 The 2008 Martin Freshman Tournament started with a big win for the Warriors against the Summit Jaguars in game one. Jerid Watson was on the mound for the Warriors
pitching all 3 innings, giving up only 1 hit. From the start of the first pitch, the
Warriors were in control of the game. They jumped to a 9 run lead on 4 hits in the
first inning. The team capitalized on errors and timely hits with 14 Warriors getting up to
the plate. Nathan Gourley blasted a double and singled in the inning with Alex Bradley
and Keith Carney adding singles to move and score runners.
The 2nd inning the Jags had 4 batters come to the plate with the 3rd batter put on by a walk. A strikeout later, the Warriors were back at the plate. The Freshman scored 4 runs on 3 hits this inning. Russell Bellomy delivered a double that scored 2 with Aaron Warren and David Chamberlain also getting base hits.
The 3rd inning it was 3 up and 3 down for the Jags. Again, the Warriors
came out hitting and scored 9 runs on 7 hits. Adding to the hit list were
singles by Andy Trim, Kenny Schow, Emilio Vialapando, and Daniel Chamberlain.
Lance Mardock hit a double and Carney knocked a triple.
