Game Summary
In the Warriors second game of the tournament against the Arlington
High Colts,
the Freshman came out with a strong defense and pitching. Keith Carney was on
the mound for the Warriors. The first inning saw no runs scored for either team.
The second inning was 3 up/3 down for the Colts with Carney fanning all 3
batters.
In the bottom of the inning the Warrior bats came alive with singles from Alex
Bradley,
Russell Bellomy and Aaron Warren with Carney ripping a double. The Warriors
ended the inning scoring 6 runs on 4 hits. The Colts got on the board the next
inning by knocking 2 hits for 1 run. The Warriors hit around in the 3rd with
another double from Carney and singles from Warren, Jared Watson and Josh
Beckham to score another 5 runs. The 4th was another 3 up/3 sown for the Colts
with another 3K inning for Carney.
The Warriors scored 1 run when Daniel Chamberlain hit a single to score Brady
Harvey who was on base after a single. The 5th inning had Lance Mardock closing
it out for the Warriors shutting the Colts down with strong defense.
