Martin vs Cedar Hill

Game Summary
 The Warrior Seniors were honored in a pre-game presentation along with their families. Each senior player escorted his mom onto the field to just behind home plate with their dad and any siblings following. Booster Club members, Dana Hapeman and Kim Bragg presented gifts of flowers and chocolates to the moms and a baseball signed by the team to the dads. Jeff Thornton was the guest announcer for the festivities.

Senior, Mike Hill was the Warriors starting pitcher. Hill pitched three innings with three strikeouts, three runs and five hits. He was relieved in the top of the 4th by Senior, Kevin Winter. Winter allowed only two hits, struck out eight and along with great defense, held the Cowboys to the three runs scored in the first two innings.

Martin’s offense got started with Senior, Jantzen Witte being the first on base getting on by a walk. Senior, Jordan Imhoff followed with a two run homer to left field. Daniel Garcia led off the 2nd inning with a base hit. Senior, Shane Griffin entered to run for him. Brian Ragira also got a single. Senior, Paul Gonzalez was up next and hit a sacrifice bunt to move both runners. Senior, Tyler Osier hit a single up the middle scoring Griffin. Senior, Jake Mizell then grounded to short for a double play leaving Ragira on base. The 3rd inning started off with a hard fought battle at the plate by Senior Mike Chovanec who hit a double after eleven pitches with six foul offs! Witte hit a single over second scoring Chovanec. Imhoff came up next and hit another two run homer! Garcia hit another single with Griffin in to pinch run again. Griffin stole two bases, but was left on at the end of the inning. Mizell got a base hit in the 4th followed by another double by Chovanec scoring Mizell. Chovanec stole second and scored on a wild pitch. Cedar Hill changed pitchers as Witte came to the plate. Witte got on by another walk. Imhoff then hit a single and stole second. Both Witte and Imhoff were left on base as the next two batters struck out. The 5th inning the Warriors had a few walks, but no runs scored. Imhoff led off in the 6th with another single. Jay Hiller went in to pinch hit for Garcia and got a base hit up the middle. Ragira also got a base hit and scored Imhoff. Hiller and Ragira got left on base at the end.
