Game Summary
The Texans visited Warrior Field for the second and final district match up with the Warriors. Stewart Person was on the mound and began the 1st inning with three up and three down striking out two. In the 2nd, he hit the first batter but fielded the bunt the next batter hit between third and the mound throwing him out at first. He struck out the next two batters to end with the runner on base. Person retired the first two batters in the 3rd inning on strikeouts. The next batter got a base hit and the next walked, but was picked off with Person throwing to Mike Chovanec at first and then to Tyler Osier at second. The 4th inning was settled quickly with three strikeouts. Jordan Imhoff came in to pitch the 5th inning. He took the first batter full count, but struck him out on the sixth pitch. Imhoff struck out the second batter on three straight strikes and the fourth one on a called third strike.

Jake Mizell led off with a walk in the first but was thrown out in a pickle while attempting to steal second. Chovanec walked followed by Witte reaching base on an error by the third baseman. Chovanec then reached home on a balk by the Texans pitcher. Chase Brown was at the plate next and hit a two run homer. Daniel Garcia then got a base hit to left field. Shane Griffin went in to pinch run and stole second, but was left on base at the end of the first with the score 3-0. The 2nd inning was a long one with 14 at bats for the Warriors. Jay Hiller led off with a double. Osier followed with a single to left field and then stole second. Hiller scored on an error. Mizell hit a deep fly to right center that was dropped by the right fielder. Jantzen Witte got a base hit to left field scoring Osier. Imhoff hit a double to right field scoring Mizell. Brown was up next and hit a single to left followed by Garcia’s two run double to left center. Hiller came back to the plate a second time and hit a single to right field scoring Brown. Osier followed with another base hit also to right field and scored Griffin, who was running for Garcia. Mizell came to bat again and drew a walk. Chovanec was up next with a base hit to left field. He and Mizell were left on base as Witte flew out for the last out. Tanner Hapeman entered the game for Imhoff in the 3rd and reached base on balls. He moved to second on an overthrown pick off by the pitcher. Hunter Reinhardt went in for Brown and also reached base on balls. Garcia flew out bringing up Paul Gonzalez who went in for Ragira. Gonzalez hit a two run double to right field scoring Hapeman and Reinhardt. Chase Jensen went in to hit for Hiller and flew out to right field and Osier flew out to left leaving Gonzalez on base. In the Warriors final at bat, Trent Hunter led off with a ground out to second followed by Chovanec getting another walk. Kyle Blackwell went in for Witte and struck out. Hapeman got a single to right scoring Chovanec who had moved to second on a wild pitch. Reinhardt was the last up with a strike out to end the inning.
