Martin vs Tyler Lee

Game Summary
The Warriors faced the Tyler Lee Raiders in the second game of the double header in Mesquite. Only Jantzen Witte reached base on a single in the 1st inning, but was left stranded on base. The 2nd inning was much the same with only Daniel Garcia getting a base hit and pinch runner Shane Griffin was left on base. In the 3rd inning Jacob Mizell hit a single to right center. Michael Chovanec followed with a base hit to about the same location. Mizell scored on Witte’s sacrifice fly to left field. The left fielder threw in to the catcher who threw to the third baseman to get Chovanec out at third. Jordan Imhoff reached base on balls in the 4th but was thrown out at second on the fielder’s choice by Chase Brown. Brown stole second and scored on Garcia’s base hit to left center. Griffin went in to run for Garcia and stole second base but was left on base as Chase Jensen ended the inning with a pop fly to first base. Jay Hiller, pinch-hitting for Kyle Blackwell, led off the 5th with a base hit and stole second base. Mizell struck out and Chovanec reached base on a hit by pitch. Hiller got caught off base in a pickle and was thrown out. Witte ended the inning with a strike out leaving Chovanec on base. In the 6th, Imhoff flew out to second followed by Brown grounding out to the pitcher for the first two outs. Tanner Hapeman went in for Ragira and got a base hit to right center. Garcia was up next with another base hit. Jensen then hit a double up the middle to score Hapeman. Paul Gonzalez was up next having entered the game in the bottom of the 5th. He flew out to right field to end the inning. Mizell led off in the final inning with a ground out to second. Chovanec followed with a fly out to right field. Witte hit a single up the middle to get things started. Imhoff kept it going with a double down the left field line. Brown hit a single scoring Witte. Ragira was up next and hit a grounder to third ending the inning and the game.

Kevin Winter was the starting pitcher for the Warriors pitching two innings. The first inning was a quick 1-2-3 and out. The first inning started off with a hit and an error and another hit to load the bases. Winter got the next two out by two strikeouts. The next batter reached base on a walk scoring one. The final batter flew out to Jensen at second to end the inning. Brian Ragira relieved Winter in the 3rd. The first batter reached base on a single and was thrown out by Garcia when he attempted to steal second. The next three batters each got base hits scoring one. The fifth batter flew out to Mizell in left field but got the sacrifice as another runner scored. The sixth batter hit a double to deep right center. Another run scored on a wild pitch before the final batter grounded out to Witte at short. The Warriors were now behind 4-1. In the bottom of the 4th the score was 4-2 and Jordan Imhoff went to the mound with Hapeman replacing him in right field. The Raiders got one on base on a walk and he scored on a hit by the designated hitter who was eventually thrown out by Garcia when he tried to steal second. Imhoff pitched the 5th inning as well with one more runner scoring after reaching base on a walk. Josh Bragg pitched the 6th inning with the first batter leading off with a double. He scored on the base hit by the next batter. This batter was thrown out at second on the fielder’s choice by the third batter. Garcia threw out the third batter when he attempted to steal second base. The next batter walked but was left stranded when the next batter flew out to the Jensen at second.
