Martin vs Plano East
Game Summary
Shane Griffin led the Warrior defense on the mound in the second game
of the day. The first two innings were routine with Griffin allowing one hit and
striking one batter out, but the 3rd inning the Panthers found all the gaps
getting seven hits and eight runs. Josh Bragg came in with one out to finish the
inning. The Panthers got one fielder’s choice and one hit putting runners on
base, but the defense came through holding the base runners from scoring. In the
4th inning Bragg allowed one hit and struck out one. The defense held strong in
the next three innings with three up and three down in each inning. The Warriors
weren’t so lucky with the bats in this game with no one getting more than a base
hit. Martin couldn’t string enough hits together to come back from the
devastating 3rd inning. The Warriors lose their first game of the season 8-3.
