Game Summary

The Warrior fans came out in droves to cheer on the team with standing room only before the game even began!  We were loud and proud!  Kevin Winter started on the mound for the Warriors striking out two in the first and allowing only one Jaguar to reach base on a walk.  Jantzen Witte was the first Warrior to get on base on a double to left field.  Jordan Imhoff reached base after being hit by a pitch.  Brian Nephew hit a single up the middle scoring Witte.  Imhoff and Nephew were left on base.  In the top of the 2nd, the Jaguars got the first batter on base on a hit to left center and he moved to second on a sacrifice bunt.  The next batter grounded out followed by Winter striking out the final batter.  Jake Mizell led off the bottom of the 2nd with a shot back to the pitcher knocking his hat right off his head! Matt Schimpf hit a great sacrifice bunt to move Mizell to second base.  Chase Brown hit a single to left center and quickly stole second base.  Shane Griffin came in to run for Brown.  Harrison Law hit a single to left center scoring Mizell and stole second base.  Witte got a hit to the short stop loading the bases.  Will Keiser was up next and hit a grand slam home run!  The Jags made a pitching change to recover from the string of hits, but Jordan Imhoff was up next and hit a back-to-back jack!  The next Warrior to reach base was Mike Chovanec with a hit to left field.  Chovanec advanced to second on a balk, stole third base and scored on an error by the short stop making the score 8-0.  In the top of the 3rd, the Jaguars got a hit to right field followed by two hit batters to load the bases.  A sacrifice fly scored their first run and then a stolen base scored the second run.  Two more runs score on a homer by the Jaguar catcher making the score 8-4.  The bottom of the 3rd inning, Witte hit a solo home run.  Keiser then hit a single to left field, moved to second on an error, and took third and eventually home on pass balls.  Imhoff reached base on a walk, but was left hanging on base.  The 4th inning the Jaguars rallied scoring three more on a hit, an error and another homer by the catcher, bringing the score to 10-7.  Schimpf reached base on a walk for the Warriors only man on base in the bottom of the 4th.  In the top of the 5th, the Jags got a hit up the middle and scored another run on an RBI double making the score now 10-8.  Jordan Imhoff came to the mound in relief striking out his first batter for the final out.  The Warriors were put out 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning.  The top of the 6th inning the Jaguars threatened to score again loading the bases with two outs.  Jake Mizell caught a shot to center field to end the inning and the scoring threat.  The bottom of the 6th Imhoff reached base on a walk.  The other Warrior batters were unable to manufacture a way to get another run in.  Imhoff dominated the final inning from the beginning with a lead off strike out followed by a ground out to Witte.  He struck out the final batter to end the Regional Quarterfinals with Martin Warriors as the reigning champions!
