Game Summary

The starting pitcher, Dylan Rucker, hit a homerun in the top of the first inning of the Duncanville game to score himself and Chase Jensen who had reached with a single then Rucker went on to set the Panthers down, 1 – 2 – 3 with a little help from his defense. During the second inning Taylor Peddicord hit a double to left field but was thrown out trying to stretch it into a triple. With a little help from the Warriors the Panthers tied it up in the bottom of the inning. The Warriors were held scoreless in the third and the Panthers scored only one run despite a couple of doubles. Stewart Person made a great nab of a foul ball on the first base side to end the inning. Person started out the fourth with a double followed by singles from Kyle Blackwell, Peddicord and Hunter Reinhardt and a double from Jay Hiller. The Warriors were able to rack up 6 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, the Warrior pitching left a little to be desired and the Panthers added 3. The fifth saw no Warrior crossing the plate and only one Panther was able to cross making the score 9 – 8 Warriors after five innings of play. In the top half of the sixth the Warrior bats were on fire. Josh Bragg, who had come in in relief at the end of the fourth inning hit two singles during the sixth along with singles from Tanner Hapeman and Person. Hapeman also hit a double during this inning. Peddicord was intentually walked and Warriors were able to add 7 runs. The Panthers answered with a couple of hits and a couple of runs for a score of 16-10 at the end of six which proved to be the final score.
