Game Summary
Zac Zielinski pitched 5 2/3 innings getting the win over Keller Central allowing
3 runs on 7 hits with only 1 walk and striking out 4. Matt Schimpf came in
relief in the 6th inning and allowed no runs on 1 hit and struck out 2 to close
out the game.
The Warriors had 12 runs on 13 hits. Tyler Martin got the scoring started off in
the 2nd inning with a 3 run homerun to left center field. Jordan Imhoff added to
Martin’s homerun total knocking one out of the park in the 5th inning scoring 2
after Will Keiser lead off the inning with a bunt down the 3rd base line. Chase
Brown got the scoring started of in the 6th inning on a homerun to right field
and the scoring continued with a single hit by Harrison Law who eventually
scored on a wild pitch. Also in the 6th inning, Michael Chovanec got on with a
single and Brian Nephew reached base after being hit by a pitch. Jantzen Witte
singled to left center field scoring both Chovanec and Nephew.
Defensively, Keiser and Witte turned a double play in the 4th to get the first 2
outs of the inning and Witte also turned a double play in the 7th inning getting
the first 2 batters out in the inning and Schimpf closed out the game with a
strike out.
