Game Summary
The second game of the Burleson tournament was once again a win for
the Warriors when they faced the Aledo Bearcats. Dylan Rucker went the distance
for the Warriors and held the Bearcats scoreless through 6 innings with the help
of a strong defense. The Warriors were also held scoreless for the first 2
innings and scored one in the third after two outs Hunter Reinhardt watched 4
straight balls, Jay Hiller was hit by a pitch and Tanner Hapeman got the RBI
when Reinhardt scored on his double. In the fourth Stewart Person, Travis
Breslin, Daniel Garcia and Eric Jeske all hit singles. The Warriors were able to
score 3 runs to make it 4 – 0 at the end of the inning. In the fifth Chase
Jensen and Person both singled and the Warriors were able to add to their lead
with one run. The sixth inning saw two walks and a triple by Trent Hunter to
once again add to the lead bringing the score to 7 – 0 at the end of the sixth.
During the top half of the seventh Aledo made a run at a come back but came up
short to end the game 7 – 3 Warriors.
