Martin - 4  vs  Colleyville Heritage - 13

Game Summary
Baseball is a great game, filled with highs and lows.  For the Martin Warriors and their fans, 2006 has been filled with many highs:  Tyde Classic Champions, First Bank Classic Champions, and District 7-5A Champions.  There have been dramatic come from behind wins, hard fought losses, great plays, outstanding performances, and the sheer gratification that comes from watching a team of guys that grew up together achieve such success, playing for a team they all dreamed of playing for one day.  As they say, "all good things must come to an end", and on Saturday, the Warriors 2006 season ended as they were eliminated from the Region I Area playoffs.  As the box score indicates, the game was up for grabs until the Panthers broke it open in the sixth inning.  The Warrior fans were hoping too see more magic from the team that rallied from a similar deficit to win the First Bank Classic in Lubbock, but it was not meant to be.  When the hurt fades (and it will) the 2006 Warriors will look back on this season with a great sense of pride and accomplishment.  Only the good memories will stick with them, and the bond that they have created as teammates will last forever.

To the graduating seniors, best of luck as you begin the next stage of your life; and to the under-classmen, good luck in 2007 as you carry on the Warrior baseball tradition.

A special thanks to Coaches Culbertson, Brown, and Morrison for their leadership and for being excellent role models for such a fine group of young men.  You guys are the best!

Go Warriors!
