Martin - 8  vs  Desoto - 9

Game Summary
This game was riddled with bad umpire calls and multiple errors.  The Warrior offense consisted of a lot of base hits, base on balls and a few hit batters.  We took advantage of some Eagle errors as well, but it wasn't enough to pull out the win.  Shane Griffin started on the mound for the Warriors pitching two complete innings and to one batter in the third.  He allowed three hits, six runs (only two earned), walked four and hit one batter.  Mike Chovanec switched places with Griffin having started at first base.  Chovanec pitched one and two thirds innings allowing two hits, three runs (all unearned), three walks, one hit batter and one strike out.  Mike Hill came to the mound after starting at third base.  Hill pitched to one batter in the fourth inning and then finished out the game.  Hill seemd to be able to find the umpire's inconsistent strike zone more than the first two pitchers.  He allowed one hit, one walk and struck out four batters.  This was a tough loss for the JV Warriors having not been defeated in district play until this game.
