Martin - 5   vs  Cedar Hill - 0

Game Summary
Hello Win Column – Great way to begin District Play!!  The Warrior Freshmen team’s losing streak ended at one when they bested the Cedar Hill Longhorns 5 – 0 behind the pitching of Josh Bragg, bringing Bragg’s record to 2 - 0.  Although Travis Breslin started it out with a single in the bottom of the first he was left stranded.  During the third inning Daniel Garcia reached on a fielder’s choice and then Dylan “Boom Boom” Rucker stepped to the plate.  With a count of 2 balls and 1 strike Rucker took his fourth pitch yard!!!  His homerun scored the first two runs for the Warriors bringing himself and Garcia home.  In the fourth the Warriors added three insurance runs.   Breslin once again had a single, followed by a double from Garcia and a triple from Rucker.  Stewart Person got an RBI scoring Rucker when he reached due to an error at 2nd base.  Solid defensive play with no Warrior errors, insured the win.  Garcia picked off two Longhorns trying to steal 2nd throwing to shortstop, Chase Jensen.  Bragg also made a phenomenal play, catching up to a ball hit towards the third base side of the mound and then turning and gunning down the runner at first.  In seven innings Bragg faced 23 Longhorns, striking out 7, walking only 2 and allowing 3 hits and 0 runs.
