Game Summary

The Freshmen Warriors faced the Bowie Volunteers during the first round of the Lamar Tournament.  The Warriors scored one in the first inning to get the game going but the Vols answered with three runs in the first inning.  The Vols’ lead lasted until the third inning when the Warriors went ahead with 6 runs.  Chris Michael had a double, Tanner Hapeman had 2 singles, Stewart Person had 2 doubles and Dylan Rucker was shy a homerun for the cycle.  He had a single, a double and a triple.  Jay Hiller did a fine job pitching a complete game.  He faced 26 batters in 5 innings.  Hiller only walked 2 and struck out 7.  Seven Volunteers reached with hits.
