Martin 6, Summit 4
Game Summary
The Warriors bats came alive as they scored five runs in the top of the third inning, and that proved to be enough for a victory over the Summit Panthers in the opening round of the Duncanville tournament. Colin Schickedanz had the big hit, a two-run double to deep left center that ignited the Warrior rally. Summit rallied for four runs in the bottom half of the fourth with three runs scoring on a sinking double to left that eluded Harrison Law's diving attempt. Adam Glenn started on the mound for the Warriors and pitched four strong innings before giving way to Blake Byrd in the fifth. Byrd shut the Panthers down in the fifth and sixth before Zac Zielinski came in and closed the door in the seventh. Martin once again played solid defense, with catcher Zach Laster picking off two runners during key situations.
