Martin 11, Duncanville 1
Game Summary
Martin made the most of their first game at Warrior Field in over a month as they broke out the heavy lumber and trounced the Duncanville Panthers 11-1. On a night when Martin pitcher Brian Nephew was dominant and didn't need much run support, the Warrior hitters couldn't be stopped. Michael Lindsay got things started in the second with a double to the gap in right center scoring Kyle Swearingen. A few batters later, Harrison Law ripped a sharp single to right scoring Lindsay, but was thrown out trying to stretch it into a double. Tyler Martin's RBI single scoring Chris Gildea put the Warriors ahead by three runs in the third inning. In the fourth inning, Law doubled off the top of the wall in right center scoring Blake Sanders. Colin Schickedanz followed with an infield single, and scored on Zach Laster's single to left after Laster just missed a homer down the right field line. Laster went deep again in the sixth, blasting a solo home run over the scoreboard in right center. After Swearingen singled, Lindsay hit another shot to the base of the centerfield wall. Ryan Nielsen's RBI single ended the game on the 10-run rule.
