Game Summary

Martin's one game losing streak came to a screeching halt as they defeated North Mesquite 6-2 in the second round of the Arlington High Tournament.  After falling behind in the first inning, the Warriors rallied in the third.  Blake Sanders led off with a single, and scored on Colin Schickedanz's triple down the right field line to get the offense going.  By the time the dust settled, Martin had a three run cushion which was all the Martin pitcher's needed.  Shawn Peoples started for the Warriors and pitched five strong innings before being relieved by Blake Byrd in the sixth.  Chris Gildea and Zach Laster led the Warriors with two hits each.
