Game Summary
The Warriors and the Summit Panthers battled to a 2-2 tie on a cold night to kick off the 2005 season in the opening game of the Burleson Tournament. With one out in the bottom of the 7th inning, Summit tied the score forcing an extra inning. In the 8th inning neither team scored and the tiebreaker system was used to determine the winner. The first tiebreaker was the number of runners advanced to 3rd base. Since both teams had advanced the same number of runners, the 2nd tiebreaker (number of runners advanced to 2nd base) was used, with the Warriors coming out on top. Kyle Swearingen led the Warriors with 2 hits. Adam Glenn started on the mound for the Warriors and was relieved by Zac Zielinski who got the win.
