Martin - 21, Desoto 1
Game Summary
Martin’s high octane offense marched into Desoto to face yet another area leader in ERA, and again knocked that pitcher out of the standings with a barrage of hits and runs. Eric Hanlon’s HR in the 1st with Sean Garcia aboard proved to be all the run support starting Pitcher Josh Marshall would need. Josh again went the distance, collecting his 7th win of the year. Trent Blanchard’s 2-run blast in the 4th cleared the fence in left-center at around the 390’ mark! Seven Warriors had a multi-hit game – with seven of those hits going for extra bases. Sean Garcia as 3-for-3 with a double, Eric Hanlon was 2-for-4 with a HR, Brett Kazmierski was 3-for-4 with a double (narrowly missed being a HR as it hit the 380 sign in left-center!), Richard Pumphrey was 2-for-4, Chase Edwards was 3-for4 with a triple, Trent Blanchard was 3-for-3 with a HR, Paul Hovis was 2-for-3 with a double and Drew Huneycutt added a pinch-hit double in the 5th.
