Martin 6, Duncanville 3
Game Summary
In a well played 9 inning game, the Warriors came out on top by the score of 6-3. Duncanville scored a single run in each of the first two innings to go up 2-0. Then the pitching of starter Adam Glenn, reliever Blake Byrd and closer Zac Zelinski (aka ZZ Stop!) shut down the Panthers until allowing a meaningless run in the bottom the ninth. The offense meanwhile took to the peck away theory with an RBI single from Blake Sanders scoring Colin Schickedanz after his single to get the third inning started. In the fourth the Warrior bats really woke up with back to back doubles from Chris Gildea and Michael Lindsay tying the score at 2-2. After the peck away theory left 10 Warrior runners on base, Martin resorted to the big bang theory in the ninth inning. Gildea's two run double scored Harrison Law and Sanders who had both singled, then Brian Nephew doubled to score Gildea and Michael Lindsay breaking the game open and breaking the Panthers spirit.
